Hi, I’m Penelope — a multidisciplinary artist based in NSW.

Hello,

My name is Penelope, I am a multi disciplinary artist based in the glorious Newcastle NSW.

Having worked extensively within the fashion industry after completely my Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design and Textiles at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, I went on to work as a Fashion Publicist working with labels Levi Jeans, Sheridan, Bonds underwear and many more. This was my introduction to writing compelling copy and creating buzz around a new release or story. I lapped it up, I found a love for words and for story telling and decided to pursue this form of creativity further.

As well as this I worked as a represented model and actress. Travelling to LA, NYC and London to pursue my craft. I have worked on many different campaigns, theatre productions and television commercials. It was being on set that my love for photography started to blossom. After a decade of being in front of the lens, I realised it was time to turn a passion for photography into something bigger. I was lucky in that my modelling agency sent me models to shoot and before I new it, I was working as a photographer.

I love incorporating a vision and a story, a depth and design to my imagery and design. I’m inspired by an old world glamour, ethereal and elegant style and I invite the viewer to take a moment to be still and be inspired, simply by beauty.

    For the fashion shoot Penny made sure she understood the brand and the desired aesthetic. I had complete confidence that Penny was bringing to life my ideas for the shoot. She has so much experience and technical expertise, but also has a creative eye and can build on your vision.  I was so pleased with all the photos, the hardest part was choosing what photos to use when I loved them all! Recently Penny did a photo shoot with my 9 year old daughter at the beach.  The process was so relaxed and enjoyable and this came through in the natural and beautiful expressions Penny captured -  the photos are breathtaking. It made me quite emotional to see images which truly captured the delicate beauty and radiant personality of my child.  They reveal so much soul, its how you see your child with your own eyes. Penny has a gift of drawing out the magic in her work and she is a perfectionist with every detail.  The imagery speaks for itself, whether its campaigns for a client or her own creative projects, the work is always thoughtfully executed and visually stunning.
